About Artemis - Dingo
Artemis is a smart, young female dingo with a gentle, playful nature.
She is looking for a quiet and patient family who will make her a part of their life and give her lots of love. Artemis can be shy at first but doesn't take long to warm up, especially if you have treats. She's very gentle and sweet. Artemis is good with older children (10+) provided they are respectful and gentle around her. She has previously lived in a home with teenagers.
Artemis loves other dogs and dingoes and would do best in a home with another canine companion (desexed male) to help her build confidence. She loves to run and play with other dogs and having a buddy to romp around with will keep her busy and happy in her new home.
Artemis is house-trained /toilet trained (but might need a refresher in her new home as she has been living outdoors at the shelter), she rides well in the car, and walks nicely on lead once she has had time to become comfortable in her new environment. She prefers quiet bushwalks over busy streets or parks. Being a dingo Artemis is not suitable to be let off lead in unfenced areas as she does not have good recall and might not always come back when called.
Artemis will need 2.2m secure fencing or a dog enclosure so she can enjoy safe outdoor space. She can't live with cats, birds, livestock or small animals. Artemis is not suitable to live in an apartment.
All in all, Artemis is an intelligent dingo who will thrive in the right environment with the right people – if you think you could be those people then don’t hesitate to reach out!
Adoption details

Dingo Adoption:
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Goulburn shelter or their foster carers' home and let us find the right furry family member for you. We can also come to you. We are happy to meet new prospective owners anywhere in NSW or the ACT.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
