Pumpkin

This pretty girl was dumped in a rural pound anonymously with her son (Eggplant- Adopted) as the owners wanted to go caravanning around Australia.

Since coming into care, we have found that Pumpkin (Sadie) is a very energetic playful girl who loves to be near you. She is an approximately 2 year female Kelpie.

Pumpkin has been tested with children and is best suited with children 8 years and above and she loves receiving pats and attention. She will play ball or tug with a toy endlessly.

This beautiful lady is crate trained, has learned to sit and drop and loves her snacks. She knows basic commands, but would excel at dog obedience, agility or trick training!

Pumpkin is a low maintenance dog and can be left for long periods home alone while her foster carer goes to work. She will go to her day bed or crate, often taking her soft teddy with her.

Pumpkin does require a confident owner as she has a high chase instinct and will react to cars and bikes and people running. Pumpkin also has very selective social skills and does not get along with all dogs. We would not advise taking her to dog parks. More to puppy play dates with dogs that she likes.

Pumpkin is a wonderful, affectionate dog for the experienced working dog owner who is willing to put in the time to assist her ongoing social skills and reactivity to cars, bikes and people running.

We would recommend her adopter lives in a quiet area where there are few distractions to make her reactive. She will then be your best dog ever!
