About Fred
Fred, also lovingly known as" FWEDLY", is now a retired gentleman and is looking for his "furever" home.
His idea of a happy retirement is to spend his days lounging on the couch or soaking up the sun, whenever possible. Spoiling is of course, mandatory.
Fred is more of a "people" dog than a dogs' dog, but he gets on very well with most dogs he meets in his travels, and tolerates being involved in shenanigans without any signs of aggression. If it becomes overwhelming for him, he will just take himself away from the action.
He travels extremely well in the care and the only time he makes his presence felt is when he feels the needs to change his sleeping position during the journey.
Fred has NOT been around cats since being in care but it is strongly advised that he should be in a "cat free" home.
He has shown no interest in the resident chooks but as there is always a barrier between them, the temptation in not immediate.
He would be well suited to a family with older children and /or an older single/couple.
Whoever adopts this gorgeous man will be rewarded with a loving, faithful and fun loving companion.
Medical notes
Fred was retired from racing due to having "night blindness". It does not affect him in anyway but if he goes from a bright room into darkness, or vice versa, it takes him a minute to re-orient himself. His vision otherwise, is perfect. He does not require any medical treatment for this condition, but it made his racing career short lived.
