Broccoli

Hi, my name is Broccoli and I am a 6 month old Kelpie x. I was found as a stray in rural NSW, then taken to the pound, so unfortunately I have no more information on my life up until now. I am dog friendly, cat friendly with slow introductions and child friendly! Due to my bouncy nature, I am best suited to a home with children over 10.

I have sooo much love to give and enjoy snuggling up in bed or on the couch next to you. I am going to make the best little hot water bottle over winter time. I am still very much a puppy though and enjoy playing with the ball or play-wrestling with my foster sisters.

I am crate trained and have learnt that it is my safe place that I will take myself to when I need to have a break. The crate has also helped me with my toilet training and I am well on my way to being accident free, six days and counting!! I have learnt to sit, wait for my dinner and walk on lead. I will require ongoing training, however I am a very quick learner and I LOVE treats! I do still pull on the lead, however a front leading harness has been helping me work on this.

I do resource guard my food, however this has improved dramatically since being in foster care. Having my meals at the same time everyday and getting to eat everyday has really helped me with this. I love carrots as treats and they’re great to chew on to help soothe my teething.

I love playing with other dogs, I have been taught to play tug of war with my foster doggy sister. I absolutely adore water, playing in my shell pool or playing with the hose are some of my favourite things to do.

I would be happy living as an only dog or having a doggy brother or sister.
