About Sprout
Hi there, my name is Sprout, I am a beautiful 6 month old Kelpie X girl and I currently weigh 15.2 kg. Fully grown I will be a medium/Large sized dog who will require daily exercise and stimulation.
I was probably dumped, then found roaming the streets in Rural NSW and kept in a scary pound until I was rescued by MPDRI.
Since being in foster care I have thrived in the family home however I am a little timid when I am uncomfortable with my surroundings or unfamiliar people. I am almost toilet trained and have learnt to use a doggy door; however, I am still young and do have the occasional accident. I am crate trained for bed time.
I absolutely adore children and love to play and cuddle. I have been very gentle with all the little humans I have met and played with (my current little humans are noisy but are very gentle and know how to behave around me, so I feel safe). I love cuddles from my foster mummy and anyone else that is offering cuddles.
I can sit on command and can walk on a lead. I can get a little excited on walks and pull a little however I am a smart girl and with some basic obedience training I will learn what I can and can’t do in no time.
I have met a number of small to large dogs and I have been very gentle and friendly to all. I have not been tested with cats or pocket pets but I am still young so can be taught how to behave around them.
I would love to go to a home with children and another dog to keep me company when the humans aren’t home. And would prefer my humans to be home more often than not or be able to go with them in the car. I am a bouncy girl and have shown that I can easily jump over 1.2 m fence so I will need a secure 6ft fence.
I have been vet checked, I am microchipped and have had my first immunisations. I have just been desexed and now ready to find my forever home.
