About Chip
💚💙 Available for Adoption "Chip" 🍟" 💚💙
Chip is a very good boy from rural NSW, who was found wandering dumped on a tip :(
Chip is young and energetic, not destructive when left at home and we believe him to be a 1 year old German Wire haired pointer x kelpie. He is a very handsome, scruffy looking boy.
Because of Chip's breeds, he will require a loving home of active humans with the ability to take him walking for 1-2 hours per day minimum. They will also provide him with mental stimulation such as mind puzzles to ensure he doesn't become bored. He would also love a doggy friend to share his home with and gain confidence from.
Chip knows basic commands and has reasonable recall and he is practicing and learning to sit. He does require a little more work on his night time toileting habits, however he is eager to please.
He is learning very quickly and needs consistency and boundaries so that he feels confident and settled. He just wants to please you and love you. He would suit a family with someone home a majority of the time.
Chip has had a rough beginning and he does get scared sometimes with sudden movements. If a person comes toward him quickly he will run away.
He is a food orientated boy and loves a snack and is very good with his foster siblings. Chip is also a bit of a snuggle bug and loves affection.
He is large and small dog friendly and bird (in a cage) friendly. Chip has lived with 2 year old and 6 year old children. He adored them both and would suit a family with young kids!
Chip does require a 6ft fence to safely keep him inside as he can jump a 4ft fence quite easily.
