Cheeky

Hi there, future owners! Don't I have the cutest little face and body?

My name is Cheeky and I am a 2 year old girl who was bought as a Chihuahua from backyard breeders, but I clearly am a cross. My legs are slightly longer than a usual Chihuahua, but gosh I'm cute!

For these first two years I have been starved of affection which has made me a little unwilling to receive cuddles and pats. I am getting better slowly and do love to jump on laps when I feel comfortable.

I have only been with my foster carer for 3 weeks and have opened up so much already. I am allowing them to pat me, but sometimes I will still growl.

I am a very vocal girl with a shrill little voice and am an excellent doorbell! I do bark quite often, so you will need understanding neighbours.

I will need to be the only dog as I do resource guard my food and toys from other dogs quite fiercely and gobble my dinner very fast.

I am toilet trained and I love to do zoomies during the day, so I must have a backyard where I can have a quick run around.

I would suit a confident older teenage/adult household with no other pets. I may even suit a more senior person, as long as they are comfortable with my growling and resource guarding.
I'd just love to sit on the couch and watch TV with someone.

Children overwhelm me and I have not been tested with cats. I do not like large dogs, but am happy to meet smaller dogs.
