About Fig
Are you looking for a cat who loves nothing more than sitting by your side and demanding attention? A cat who loves nothing more than playing with toys, eating you out of house and home and running amuck with others? If so, this boy might just be perfect for you! A hefty chunk weighing in at just over 5kg with the most luscious locks is ready and waiting for his forever home.
Fig and his sister Apricot were trapped in early 2023 in less than ideal circumstances. As they had no human contact before being trapped it did take a little while for them to learn how to trust people. Today? This boy just cannot get enough! He has the most adorable meow when he is being ignored and wants a pat (or he's hungry - or both!). Fig is a total attention hog and needs a family who is ready to include an active cat in their lives.
Fig absolutely loves other animals. Dogs and cats who will let him groom them, play with them and chew on their toe fur or ears are his preference! He loves to zoom and play, either with others or by himself. He loves his nightly treats, which he shares with the two resident cats and dog and is a sucker for routine - he knows when it's breakfast and he knows when it's treat time and he will most definitely not let you forget about it!
Fig is a homebody who loves the people he knows best. With strangers, he'll sit and watch from the other room and slowly inch closer. Upon repeat visits, Fig will start brushing up against their legs before he's rolling around in their laps demanding pats from his new friends. He's not too sure about young children as their movements can be quite unpredictable, but with older cat-savvy kids - he's great. He loves to play and he'll forget his fears once the toys come out! Fig knows his name and will respond with a chip before happily running over and letting out the most roaring of purrs you've ever come across!
The most ideal home for Fig would be one with another cat and/or with a cat-friendly dog who would let Fig cuddle up close to them. He really doesn't seem to understand what personal space is, so be prepared to have Fig sleeping as close to your face as possible! With his fluffy coat, Fig requires regular brushing and if you can keep him still for long enough you might get it done in a few minutes! Usually though, it takes much longer as he likes to roll around, try to play and distract you from your task with his funny antics.
Fig has been a pleasure to have in care and watching him grow and blossom has been so rewarding. It's time for Fig to find his perfect home and for him to be the centre of attention! He's the most chilled out cat in his safe environment and loves belly rubs, being picked up and just being doted on...constantly!
Fig is up to date with all of his vet-work, including all three kitten vaccinations and monthly flea/tick/worming treatments.
