Dougie

Hi there everyone, let me introduce my myself! My name is Dougie and some of you may remember me as I am sadly being surrendered back to the rescue.

I am a very large 3 year old Staghound and am very tall, I look so much like a tall deerhound, I'm quite stunning!

Please don't let that scare you, I have just become a very big, strong boy and my owners are unfortunately unable to walk me anymore. I'm a big boy, weighing in at around 60kg and I do use my weight to my advantage when walking.

If you have been searching for an Irish Wolfhound/Deerhound style dog, well I have you covered. I have the medium course style hair and boy do I love to lean!

I'm super affectionate and I was just tested with a bull arab and a little dachshund x and I just wanted to play with them. I would love another big doggy friend who I can jump and do zoomies with. I am boisterous, so could accidentally hurt a small dog, due to my sheer weight.

I am fantastic with young children, so can go to a family with dog savvy children as long as they are respectful of me and give me my space.

My ideal home would be a very dog savvy, confident family, who are strong enough to walk me and continue my training. I would love to have a large doggy friend to play with, but they must be ok with my boisterous playing!
