About Rosie
Hi everyone, my name is 🌹 Rosie 🌹
A beautiful tall, slim 3yr old Staghound (greyhound x Scottish deerhound) girl who loves walks in my harness and lead.
I use a harness because I pull on my collar.
I was surrendered to a rural pound earlier this year with my friend due to the rental crisis, then my original family adopted back my friend and left me ðŸ˜
I haven't been tested off lead in public but at home, when you take me outside I will walk right beside you.
I am very friendly with all sized other dogs and I enjoy the attention of children 5 years old when on my lead.
Although I am a classical staghound and love to lie around relaxing, I would love an active family to go walking, jogging with.
As I was starved when I was at surrendered at the pound, I do resource guard my food from other dogs, so will need to be fed seperately.
I will sit for my dinner and snacks and I have learned to stay.
More training would be good for me from a firm but gentle hand because I can be stubborn but I will learn to please you. Lots of positive enforcement please.
Brooms, mops and even long handled shoe horn scare me. Anything that looks like a stick upsets me.
Dog toys are a mystery to me and I don't know how to play with them.
I do play with other dogs at home but am a bit rough for small/ medium dogs so a play mate would ideally be larger.
I have not been tested with cats, bit I think I would chase them being a sighthound.
If you need a dog with a friendly, sweet and even tempered nature who will form a close bond with you then I'm your girl.
I am the perfect family pet, dog friendly and young child friendly.
