About Barry
Barry is ready to find his forever family and is an easy going chilled man. He will be slightly bigger than the normal Kelpie size but is quite laidback compared to most crazy kelpies.
Barry can sit for treats and his meals and has good recall when there is food involved. Being so young he will need a family that has the time to do his basic training and make him part of the family, as he likes to be included in your daily activities. He can also keep himself occupied through the day so is not dependent on constant company as long as he has a secure yard and some toys or a bone to keep him happy.
Barry is a gentle man so would be suitable to most living situations as long as there is supervision with young children as he is only a baby himself. He is fine with the resident non reactive cat at his foster home and is learning that they are not to be chased. He has been good with the other older dogs in foster care as well.
He does quite like socks but is happy to exchange them for a doggie toy on request.
Barry has spent some time in the house but is not fully toilet trained so would need extra training if he was to spend time in his new family’s home, but loves to cuddle on the couch and will gladly take all the pats he can get.
Barry travels well in the car and has only had a few lead lessons but is getting better each time.
