Butch

- this little man will steal your heart.

He is an 8-year-old mixed breed small dog. He is tan and grey
(bit of a handsome salt and pepper look).

Butch is a confident and cheeky dog, who is very cute and a comfort
king. He gets along well with dogs and cats. He would be suitable for a family
with children 10 and above. He has had play dates with school kids, has been
walked around other dogs and he is very gentle and somewhat disinterested in
other dogs.

He doesn’t bark and he makes the house his own with a quiet confidence. He is NOT a leave outside, sleep on the floor kind of dog. He will escape if gets the opportunity and he can squeeze through the smallest
gaps. He is determined, curious and clever. He loves being near his humans, snuggling and making the most divine little squeaks when he is happy.

He will roll on his back for belly rubs whenever they are on offer. Don’t let his age fool you. Butch loves a walk, he gets a good little stride on and walks with purpose and energy.

He loves going on outings and would be great company for you at the local café sitting in the sun
while you are having a latte. He is fine in the car if he can see out the window and keep an eye on what’s going on.

He has a good appetite and loves his food (but not
vegetables!). Being food oriented you could have some fun training him as he hasn’t
learned to sit yet!. He is house trained and sometimes when he wees, he does a little handstand which is very entertaining.

His perfect home would be a loving home where family or owner is home more often than not and he can be part of the family. He would thrive in a
household where he is welcomed onto laps, beds and couches. He has been tested with dogs, cats and children above 10, he was a bit reactive when being groomed and at the vets, but has shown none of that reactivity in foster care.

For this reason families with children under 10 are not recommended.

He would not suit a house with a dog that likes to dominate, as Butch likes to be the boss!
