About Neville - Dingo
Hi my name is Neville and I'm an absolute clown, I love most other dogs and I'm cheeky, playful and affectionate with both dogs and humans (the ones I know! I can be a little shy with new people at first, but it doesn't take me long to warm up, especially if you have treats).
I would love my new home to have a medium or large dog friend (or two!) to keep me company and help build my confidence. I love to romp around with other dogs and I'm only young so an energetic playmate is an absolute must.
My ideal home is one with active adults who would like to take me for a walk once or twice a day, I love to walk and run and I'm fantastic on lead and good in the car. I can be a bit of a rough play-mate and I'm easily startled/scared so it would be best if my new home didn't have kids under 16.
Being a dingo, I can be quite shy in busy and crowded places, I'm not suitable to go to busy places like cafes or dog parks and I'd prefer to stay on lead when we are out and about, this is because like most dingoes I do not have great recall (I won't always come back when called), but that's ok, I'm used to a long 10m lead so I can run and play but still stay safely nearby at the park or beach.
I'm house trained/toilet trained, and good in the car. I know how to sit and shake! I'm very food motivated and would love to continue my training in my new home with the support of positive reinforcement training methods (the rescue can help with lots of resources and advice!).
I'm not suitable to live in a home with cats, birds, livestock or pocket pets.
Being a dingo secure fencing is super important in my new home. I will need a home with secure 2m fencing or higher and may require dig proofing at the base of the fence i.e. wooden sleepers, pavers, concrete etc.

Adoption details
Please note at this time pending legal advice we are unable to offer fox kit adoption to private owners.
Dingo Adoption:
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Goulburn shelter or their foster carers' home and let us find the right furry family member for you. We can also come to you. We are happy to meet new prospective owners anywhere in NSW or the ACT.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
