About Dottie
Meet Dottie! This beautiful girl is a 2.5 year old ex-racing (although she never actually started a race - it just wasn't her thing) Greyhound. Her racing name was Nana Dot however she is affectionately known by her foster family as Dottie, Dorothea or Dot Dot.
Dottie has been in foster care for the past three weeks with a 1.5 year old human brother, but we think that she would be better suited to a family with primary school aged children or older, or an adult family. Dottie has been living with a small older dog and there have been no issues at all, except for wanting to play a little too often.
Dottie is a true couch potato, she is very content lounging on the couch or in her dog bed for hours on end. She has very small bursts or energy and enjoys throwing her toys about for a few minutes at the most. She looks forward to going out for a walk, but it's a little hit and miss, we're still working on her lead skills.
Dottie is toilet trained, infact she has not had any accidents inside since arriving in care. She sleeps through the night (unlike her human brother). And she is okay being left at home alone for a few hours at a time, although she is very happy when her humans do return.
This lovely girl is very gentle, even tempered and affectionate. She has not shown any resources guarding tendencies and is dog and human social.
Dottie has been adored by her foster family however they are unable to adopt her at this time so if you have space in your heart and home for this easy going girl, please apply 💞
