About Max
Max in one word is loving ❤❤
In true stumpy tail cattle dog style he lives for the devotion to his human.
He is a dog that loves nothing more than a pat, he will miss no opportunity for one. ✋
He is a happy go lucky 5 year old, who sometimes lacks personal space. He has great recall, and gets along with other dogs.
He is a fast learner and benefits from routine, he can sometimes test the boundaries, for example he will jump up for a pat, or to get close and lean on you from time to time, also shoes may be in danger if left alone with Max the dog.
A confident dog owner would benefit his progression in obedience.
Max gets excited in the car, but quickly settles in for the ride.
His introduction to crate training has been great, once he has worked out where his place his, he goes straight in.
He is most happiest with company of a human or another dog. He is a social dog, so spending long periods alone, he will struggle with.
Max would love another friendly dog for company and could potentially be in a home for full time workers, if he also had a doggy friend to keep him company.
Max is not interested in the chickens that live near him in their coop, so he could live with chickens, if they are securely penned.
He is not tested with cats and because of his jumping up, we do not recommend children under 7 years of age for Max.
Max does have a disability, in the form of a badly formed hip. It is not noticeable most of the time, this disability will be managed with a minor pain medication.
All in all he will make a delightful addition to the right family.
💚 Dog Friendly
💚 Children over 7+ Years
💚 Chicken Friendly (when in their pen)
Medical notes
Max has a badly formed hip that will require minor pain medication for the rest of his life.
He is very well managed on the medication currently.
