About Lord Grey
Hello, I'm Lord Grey! and I'm the most handsome 3 year old male. When my foster carers picked me up I was known as Lord Grey but my foster carers call me Graham.
When I arrived at my foster home I was very timid at first and hid for 2 days. But my foster carers worked out the quickest route to my heart: food. Now I know how nice my foster carers are, I want to spend all the time with them.
Ideally I will have their full attention, stroking with one hand isn't enough, I definitely prefer both hands. And if you're watching tv, I enjoy sitting on you and at night the best place is sleeping on top of you. I do sit nicely next to my foster carer when they're working from home, but if I see they're paying too much attention to someone else in a Teams meeting, I make my presence known and like being infront of the camera.
I am very tolerant, and even on my first day when I was nervous, I didn't protest too much to my foster carers trying to feed me a tablet. I'm also quite calm so my foster carers think I would do well with children. I do like to give the occasional love bite though, my foster carers tell me not to but it's because I have so much love to give.
I'm a very chatty cat, who likes to give you updates on everything going on. But my favourite thing to talk about is food. I'm a very hungry cat, and I hope you don't like long lie-ins in the morning as I can't wait for food and will wake you up, although very gently by tapping your face.
As I'm always so hungry my foster carers do have to give me food in small amounts as I will gobble anything you give me very quickly. I do love finding food if you hide it or put it up a cat tree, it gets me being really active. And I'm getting very good at getting food out of the slow feeder. But egg boxes do sometimes stump me on how to get the food out of the small holes. I will take an interest in your food too, but have already learnt at my foster carers that I'm not allowed on the dining table.
I love to play with wand toys, especially if you play with me near somewhere I can pretend to hide while I am trying to catch the toy. I would also appreciate a window I can sit by and watch the world go by.
When new people come round I can get a bit nervous, especially if it's groups of people, or if they're carrying large items such as ladders. But I do quickly come round to things, and I even don't mind too much anymore if my foster carers vacuum. I just need a bit of time to get used to new things.
I am the most loving cat who would fit in with most caring homes. However I am FIV+ so I need to be an indoor only cat. But if you can give me that I will give you all the love and cuddles you could ever want.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
