Leanne and her lambs Ella and Sarah came into care as part of a huge surrender of 50 sheep from a farmer who gave them up after being fined for animal welfare breaches and allowing people to perform religious slaughter on his property, dumping bodies in the waterways.
They had a whole lot of management issues to address, with extremely heavy work burden and overgrown feet.
They are Wiltshire Horn sheep who are a self-shedding breed and they cautious of people, but will come up for food and it won’t take much one-on-one time to gain their trust!
They have been vaccinated, microchipped, hoof trimmed, shorn (though they are a self-shedding breed) and lice treated, boys have been desexed and they’re ready to find homes who value them for their companionship and their right to live a happy and comfortable life, not for what can be taken from them.
This means no breeding, eating or selling - we adopt out animals on a contract where they must be returned to our care if you’re no longer able to keep them
If you can offer these sweethearts a place to call home we would love to hear from you!
Our adoption process is an initial application form, followed by a conversation over message or phone, and finally a property check. Adopters must agree to the condition that animals must be returned to our rescue if they can no longer stay in their home.
