About Buddy
Introducing Buddy – The Stowaway
For followers of our page and particularly our Deathrow 5 ( that became 9 ), we know this is one you have been waiting to meet.
Buddy secretly hitched himself a ride on the Freedom Bus and arrived unannounced late at night.
The Driver called at the end of the run to say “Um – I have a spare dog here”
And so, after a panicked call to the Ranger to confirm he was indeed a pound dog, and then an even more panicked call for a carer to help, Buddy joined our village.
How apt it is that he is the first of them all to be ready to find his forever family.
We cannot wait to see who he jumped on the bus for, because we believe fate brought him here.
So lets do this.
Buddy is about a year old and a very handsome redheaded boy.
The Ranger believed he may be an Ibizian Hound x but his breed, like Buddy himself his true breed is a mystery to us all.
He would be classed as a bigger breed , currently weighing in at 31kg.
Buddy is a super smooch ( even having a little love heart mark on his neck).
He is super affectionate and adores people.
He is especially besotted with his carers children and really would make a perfect family dog.
Teeny tiny tots may get bowled over with his clumsy puppy love so medium / larger variety of kids are best we think.
Also dogs – he loves them all and is a big goofy playmate given any opportunity.
Cats and chicken he loves also – but only when they are for dinner – sorry cat and chook folk, Buddy is probably not your guy.
He is learning his manners but does still have some catching up to do.
Buddy adores being out and about meeting everyone and is learning to walk well on his harness – he is a strong boy but really responsive to direction.
He is really keen to please so an owner committed to continuing his all round training will be rewarded with just the best boy.
He sleeps happily in his kennel just now to allow the resident kitty cats some peace – we are sure he would do very well snuggled up next to his people given half a chance.
Buddy does have a little separation anxiety, which is understandable but he is not a digger or a fence jumper and is getting better being left alone.
This is something that will take time.
And there he is – Buddy the Stowaway.
He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and is up to date with his flea and worm treatments.
Buddy is in foster care at Cooran on the Sunshine Coast and his adoption fee is $595.
If you believe you could be Buddys reason for being here, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the amazing life Buddy would share with you.
We will only contact the best matches for meets so please do not be afraid to sell yourself.
