About Shane
"Shane is awesome".
"He's a superstar".
"Shane was just lovely when he met my dog. Very gentle".
"His fur is so soft".
"He's only one year old? I thought he was older - he is so chilled."
These are just some of the comments from people who have met Shane out and about at dog-friendly events. These are a challenge for any foster dog, but Shane takes it all in his stride.
Shane is an 18 month old Cattle dog x bull arab and a sweet cuddly boy. He is large sized dog at 37kg.
He is a strong healthy boy and bounced back well from a poor start and with regular, quality food he has blossomed into a beautiful, happy, healthy boy.
Shane tackles life with a clownish enthusiasm and is a delight. He will make you laugh every day. If he was human, he'd be right at home in the movie Kenny. Or maybe Russell Coight's stunt double?
Shane is brilliant out and about and just loves a market event where he can meet loads of people and other dogs.
Shane is in foster care with 11 dogs and gets along well. Originally he was a bit possessive of food around other dogs, which is understandable really. This has resolved with time and training and he shares beautifully now but we mention it for full disclosure, in case it recurs temporarily in his new home.
He is looking for a home where he will be completely loved. He would love to go for walks and maybe drop in a coffee shop for cappuccino. Maybe a scratch on the head. He is such a loving boy who would love you to the end.

Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If wanting to know the type of information to include, please see https://tikianimalrescue.com.au/apply/
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
