Denali is one of the many huskies that we rescued from a hoarding situation. They were living in filth and had to fight for the small amounts of food that were thrown to them. The dogs have had little or no social engagement with humans and know nothing about a routine, living in a house or walking on lead. They all need patient experienced owners who are ready for sleepless nights, chewing and escapism.
Denali is a timid but sweet girl. She walks on loose lead ignoring cars and other dogs and enjoys being patted by visitors. She came in with a poor hair coat that sheds and she weighs 7.8kg. Denali is very bonded to Autumn and they want to be adopted together.
Autumn is one of the many huskies that we rescued from a hoarding situation. They were living in filth and had to fight for the small amounts of food that were thrown to them. Autumn has learned to walk on loose lead and ignores cars and other dogs. Walker says: "Loves treats, very calm lovely dog." She came in very thin and poor coat. She came in at 7.6kg and was 12.6kg when she was speyed. Autumn and Denali are pretty bonded and would prefer to be adopted together.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience and an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
