About Marco & Polo
Introducing Marco and Polo! This bonded brother-sister duo are looking for their perfct home together.
Marco is an outgoing and friendly boy, he enjoys playing with his sister, and also interacts with the cats and dogs in his foster family. He loves his sister who he looks for and checks in with.
Polo can be shy and timid, but she also comes out of her comfort zone when her brother Marco is with her. She interacts with her foster families cats and dogs without issue, and is able to be handled by their children. She is playful and curious, and loves to explore.
Marco and Polo could live in a home with another cat or a cat-friendly dog given a proper introduction. Given their shy nature, they would suit a home with older children who can understand their boundaries and treat them gently like the small kittens they are.
If you think these two could be the pair for you, please complete an expression of interest form on our site today: https://www.wapetproject.com.au/adopt-a-pet/our-adoption-process/
Adoption details
1. Fill out the Expression of Interest form, this step has to be done, please make sure there's a valid phone number and email address: https://www.wapetproject.com.au/adopt-a-pet/our-adoption-process/
2. We will then contact you within 7 days to discuss your application. Please be patient, we are small team and are 100% volunteer operated, we will get to your application as soon as we can.
3. After the call, if you think you can see the pet living happily ever after with your family, and you can provide their perfect home, we will then get their foster carer to set up a 'meet and greet' with your family and the animal. For cats, this can be done at the foster carer's home.
4. If the 'meet and greet' goes well and everyone's confident it's a good match, a home check will be done! We believe that cats and dogs should be treated equally and, therefore, we conduct home checks for both.
5. At the completion of a successful home check, adoption can commence! Hooray! All of our animals come with a 14-day trial period. The trial gives everyone a good amount of time to settle into new routines to see if they truly are a perfect match! If we feel a few extra weeks will help the pet really shine, we're happy to extend the trial periods.
Please note: we cover up to date vaccines whilst the pet is in foster care only. The adoption fee does not cover microchip change over fees after the trial is over.
