About Polly
Hi, my name is Polly and I am a 11 years old, lovely cat with short and velvety hair. I am looking for a forever home where I can repay the love that is given to me, with affection, company, a lot of purr and sometimes even some drops from my mouth when I am being pet.
After more than a month with my foster family, I am still torn between "please pet me" and "don't touch me", but my affection for them grows day after day. They brush me every day (which I love), feed me (I eat almost everything) and play with me (I love ribbons).
I am a curious cat and I don't mind being around my foster family, but I also like my independence and I often spend my time at the bathroom windowsill or even on top of the wardrobe.
I know that when I am playing with my foster family I can become a bit frantic and that's why it's maybe better if I don't play with young children. On the other hand, I think it would be great to have another of my species to play with and I think I'd really like a garden to explore. #olderkidcompatible
I respect the home where I am currently living. I have never peed outside my litter tray. Also, I never scratched my claws on the couch: I have found that my foster family slippers do perfectly the job of keeping them sharp.
I don't mind being carried but not for a long time and, when I am not in the right mood, I like to be left alone or I could try to scratch and hiss a little bit. But overall, I am really cuddly, playful and loving.

Medical Notes
Polly has a heart murmur. The murmur has been assessed by Cat Haven veterinary staff as mild (grade three or less) and not likely to cause any adverse effects on their health.
Polly has a small lesion on the eye known as iris pigmentation. This can be seen as a small dark patch on the coloured part of the eye. Often this sort of lesion is benign, and is unlikely to cause any visual defects.
I am located with my foster family in Mosman Park.

Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
