On Hold
About Ottilie - 12 week old (on trial 03/02/22)
Look at this sweet, meditative, baby face! Ottilie is having deep thoughts. Which work of literature will she read today? Was it ethically correct for her to chase that cockroach earlier? When's dinner?
Ottilie was brought into care with her siblings from an abandoned house where they were all partying down on the daily. Although, having gotten to know Ottilie it seems more likely that she spent her time reading quietly in the corner purring softly. Baby Otty was quite shy and timid for a little while, but now that she feels more comfortable her lovely personality is coming out!
Ottilie is certainly a little old soul, who is quite happy spending time on her own watching the world go by. She loves pats and cuddles once she gets to know you, and will purr contentedly. She is not needy though, and after a little hello will quite happily take off again to do her own thing. Despite her grandmother-like personality, she is still a baby kitten and loves a play too! Her favourite is her little fluffy ball on a string. She also has access to a secure outdoor enclosure at her foster house and she loves to go out and scamper about.
Ottilie is fantastic with other cats, and has no problems with her foster brother labradoodle. She has not met any children and due to her shy nature would probably be best in a house with adults, or older and gentle children. She would be OK as an only cat if there is someone home a fair bit to spend some time with her, as she is pretty low maintenance. bThat being said, what she would really like is a kitty companion! If she had that she would be OK with a full time worker. In fact she suggests her sister Margot for the role: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/885802
Ottilie is available to an indoor-only home (unless you have an enclosure or would like to train her to use a lead!) in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast area so that she can be returned to a DRN vet for desexing when she is approximately four months old. Her adoption fee is $200 which covers her desexing, first vaccination, microchip and flea and worm treatment.
Ottilie is in care in Wallsend and is looking forward to meeting you! Apply for little Ottilie here: https://form.jotform.co/93127959159875
