About Margot - 12 week old (on trial 03/02/22)
Look at little Margot Escargot! Isn't she the cutest little snail you've ever seen?
Teeny Margot was brought into care from an abandoned house where she was slumming it with her siblings. She was a bit shy at first, and didn't quite know what to make of all these weird human things who kept giving her food and telling her she was pretty. After a little while though she realised life in an actual occupied house could be pretty great and asked her foster mum if she could maybe find a home of her own!
Margot is super playful and loves chasing cat toys, pebbles, and spicy sky raisins. She is quite brave and enjoys a good furniture-climb, before running laps of her house. She is also a big fan of her outdoor enclosure, where she practises her hunting skills on tiny rocks and bits of dust.
Margot loves a pat and turns on her big lion purr to show her appreciation. She is not completely used to being picked up yet, and quite frankly it interferes with her rigorous play schedule. This girl has stuff to do! She is a happy confident girl though, so it is entirely possible she will become a cuddler in time.
Margot is fantastic with other cats and is fine with her labradoodle foster brother. She would be OK with gentle cats or dogs if introduced properly. She has not met any kids yet, but thinks older gentle children would probably be OK - she can still be a little timid. Margot is pretty independent but she is still just a baby. For this reason it would be best if she either went to a new home with her sister Ottilie - https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/886945 - in which case she could go to a home where her people work full time. If she goes alone someone who works part time or is home more often would be best.
Margot is in foster care in Wallsend. Her adoption fee is $200 which covers her desexing, first vaccination, microchip, and flea and worm treatment while in care. She is available to an indoor only home (unless you have a safe enclosure or would like to train her on a lead!) in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast region so that she can be returned to a DRN vet for desexing when she is approximately 4 months old.
