About Winston
Winston was unfortunately part of a litter that came into care extremely unwell, riddled with parasites and completely malnourished. He has been in care for over two months while we ensured he was getting healthy and recovering well. Fortunately he’s been doing so much better and is now more than ready for his forever home!
We aren’t 100% sure what breeds are squished into Winstons DNA, but we are quite confident that his mother was a Siberian Husky. We have been told his father was a Mastiff x, but we aren’t entirely sure that’s the case. We believe he had some Sharpei in him also. We think Winston will grow to be a large size dog. He is currently around 18kg.
Winston is a very intelligent little man who has been doing exceptionally well with his training and commands. He is definitely the class clown and has some silly tricks up his sleeve that’ll make you giggle. He is insanely kind and extremely good looking, it’s hard not to fall in love with Winston! When his foster carers told us that Winston was stopped by everyone we thought it might have been a bit of an exaggeration, but this dog is seriously one of Bondi’s most popular pooches! Winston is described as filling the room with joy. He’s full of personality, he’s silly and bubbly but also a best friend. He’s also a real sofa hogger and loves to curl up and cuddle always. He is a total love bug and enjoys a snuggle.
Winston is really well behaved and very chilled when in the house. He comes to life when he goes out on his walks. Winston loves sticks and leaves and plays well with other dogs. Winston is a real gentle giant. He has had a few experiences with children and very much enjoys smothering them with hugs and kisses.
Winston has been doing very well with his training and is fully aware of the word “treat”, aka he is a food monster. He knows a multitude of tricks and has his basic training down pat. He would do well with continued training and boundaries being continually enforced in the home, and would excel in some more advanced training also.
Winston really enjoys being around other dogs and can be very excitable so if you have another doggy it’s important that they’re tolerable of cheeky puppies!
He has been doing well meeting children, however we recommend he goes to a home with dog-savvy children or children over the age of 8 years.
He’s a real character and true joy to have around. He would be an excellent asset to any family home. With looks that could kill and heart of gold, he can’t wait to find his forever family.
All families adopting puppies from this litter will need to be understanding and prepared to prioritise their health. Due to their not so great start to life, their immune systems are still gaining strength and their insides are needing as many nutrients as possible to ensure they grow to be healthy dogs. Winston has shown to have some allergies, which result in a rash on his skin. We believe he may be allergic to chicken and some environmental factors so being mindful of this is important too. He’s been improving while cutting out/minimising these.
It would be awesome for Winston to go to a home with a backyard.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals please send through an email to info@acauseforpaws.com.au and request to complete an Adoption Interest Form.
Once the form has been completed, our staff will check over all the information provided to ensure your family is a suitable fit for the animal enquired about. If suitable, we will reach out to organise a date to set up a meet and greet between your family and the animal you are interested in.
We give your family, and our team, as much time as needed to discuss your experience at the meet and greet and decide on whether the animal is going to be the new addition to your family.
A house and yard check is then completed to ensure the space is well suited to the animal.
Adoption fees and all paperwork is then completed and a two week trial will begin. The two week trial is a period of time in which the family and the animal have time to settle in together, and ensure that everything is working out okay. Once the two week trial has come to an end, our team will check in. If everything went okay, then the adoption process is completed!
