About Arnold/casper
Hello, my name is Arnold, seeing that I am the oldest, I will tell you what it's like being fostered by Peter and Ingrid, who are wonderful humans who have shown me lots of love and patience. For I was very scared and skittish, hiding under the nearest chair. When I finally shot out from under the chair I was ushered in another room so once again I darted underneath a safe haven. I was so scared I just curled up into a ball. Then I heard voices calling my name. I was now exposed and very vulnerable, then I was picked up and cuddled and it felt good to be hugged. That night I was put into another strange room which was smaller in size, but very cossy,"Then the door shut". There was a perch to jump onto which had a shallow hole covered with softling, just perfect to snuggle into. Then I noticed a higher perch, flexing all my muscles and with one bound I reached the top and I was now looking outside. Then the door opened and one of the friendly humans came in and put a bowl with food and water in it .So I jumped down and smelled the food, then I ate it all up, to my surprise I was picked up and cuddled again, and it felt good. But I was still a bit reserved and struggled just a little bit then I was free. That night I lay in my comfy bed and it felt good to be in this nice happy place. In the morning the door flew open and two humans said my name. But I flew into another bigger room and found a hiding place. It took quite a while for my friendly humans to find me, but once again they were very patient with me talking very softly. Then I felt very loved and cared for but this time when I was picked up and I didn't resist the warm affection. So now I feel part of the family and I can wonder about this entire place where there is so much to explore. My favorite places are sitting on my humans lap. That's where I am stroked, and I can purr for that's the way cats tell humans they are loved too. Another special place is looking out of the window. It's just so fascinating. When my friendly humans sit down to eat I sit across from then I just watch them eat . My life has completely changed since I have been fostered and now I am a purring cat and it's good. Arnold.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
