About Goomba
Goomba is was born on the street with his family and though the others begun as scardey cats, Goomba had been a cuddly, outgoing and playful boy since day one. In the week he has been in our care he has helped his siblings become braver and he loves to purr, cuddle and play.
His vetwork is being completed tomorrow and he will be able to go to his new home next week, pre adoption enquiries are welcome
His little family came from a rural pound where we pulled them from the kill list with cat flu but they have fully recovered now.
Their mother is only a kitten herself, only under a year old, and though we often place unsocialised cats into “barn” homes, - where they can live freely while being provided food and shelter and being desexed to stop the breeding cycle and help combat overpopulation - we do feel a little guilty at the prospect of placing mama in a home to live wild without the comfort companion cats get to experience and without her kittens who she loves when she is still so young and adaptable. For that reason, if you’re thinking of bringing a kitten into your home and have the patience and space for another special cat like Boo, please read this great website that provides a guide on socialising spicy cats and consider adopting mama Boo along with one of her kittens. Her adoption fee would be by donation to help toward her vetwork but placing her in a home who is happy to commit to her is most important.
Boo hurt her nose when she was trapped by the council but we have sent away a biopsy to ensure it’s nothing more sinister.
They are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and UTD with flea and worming treatments
