About Chelsea
Introducing the lovely Miss Chelsea
A medium sized girl, just over a year old who is just a sweetheart.
As always breed is a guess but we suspect there is some Ridgeback in there and maybe a little cattle dog
As sweet as she is cuddly, this girl will give you a toothache!
Chelsea has love and affection on tap, and I'm pretty sure has taken a course on how to give full body cuddles to humans - and she is top of the class!
She's a very happy dog who seems to love people and dogs of all shapes and sizes.
She can be a bit sooky sometimes, but after a bit of reassuring she is fine.
She is very much yearning to love and to be loved.
Tug of war, eating, chasies, laying in the sun, eating, stick destroying, garden sneaking, eating, giving affection and eating are some of her favourite things.
Did I say eating?
Chelsea is going to need a gentle but firm human that can help her learn that there is more to life than just cuddles and eating.
A basic dog obedience class would be very helpful for Chelsea, who has proven to be a very smart girl, but like most young, independent females, she can also be stubborn at times.
This is mostly around breakfast and dinner time, with food being this girls favourite thing by far.
Chelsea does seem to have a somewhat sensitive belly which should be considered if you are to adopt her.
Rich, high fat foods and lots of meat do not agree with her.
This may become less evident over time, but still needs to be noted.
Chelsea loves the company of her foster sister dogs and we're told came from a home with lots of other dogs, so finding a home with another dog would be a bonus...however, with proper attention and adequate time spent with her I think she would adjust to being an only dog.
Chelsea fancies herself as a bit of a guard dog.
Currently in foster care on a property, when cars come down the driveway she let's you know.
She has a great bark and nice full hackle (but if you're after a proper guard dog this dog is NOT the one, she's all bark and no bite, turning into a marshmallow as soon as they are in the gate).
Everyone that meets Chelsea loves her, she's a really cool looking dog with a lovely demeanour and friendly attitude.
Chelsea behaves well in the car, uses the doggy door, is house trained and sits for her food.
She is crate trained and currently sleeps either in the crate, on the couch or on her carers bed.
Chelsea is desexed, vaccinated to date, microchipped and is up to date with her flea and worm treatments.
Her adoption fee is $595 and she is in foster care at Toorbul
If you would like to meet Chelsea , please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the life you could offer this sweet girl.
