About Darwin
I am a cute man who was adopted as a kitten and sadly returned as my owner could no longer take care of me. I am a bit reserved around people but I love other cats so much and would prefer to go to a home with another feline companion. my weakness is also cat nip I LOVE IT!
He's the sweetest, smoochiest boy, he's been wonderful to have in our home.
He's a little anxious in new environments and likes to hide in safe places when he's spooked - foster Dad had to rescue him from under the couch one day - but that doesn't stop him from exploring every nook and cranny of the home. He was a little hissy when we first got him home, but after about a week he was calmer and would happily come out of his safe space for food and pats.
HE LOVES cheek scritches and butt pats and will instantly start purring when getting pats, he'll also happily jump up onto a lap for more pats. He enjoys sitting on the windowsill in the lounge and watching the world go by, and using the scratching posts.
He's getting along nicely with his two foster brothers and foster sister, he's very curious about them and they him - no fighting, but our resident cat will hiss at him every now and then! They had a very gradual introduction before meeting properly!
He likes to talk in the evenings, and has a little zoom up and down the hallway after dinner. He's a bit of a wet food greedy guts and will scoff his dinner before trying to push his foster brother off his food so we keep a sharp eye on them at dinner time!
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
