About Koda
Koda is your typical young German Shepherd, full of life and exuberance. Currently in care In her foster home where she is living with five other German Shepherds and she is playful and is constantly seeking their attention to run and play.
So we can see she craves the affection and interaction of another dog of similar size and energy level (best suited with a male companion).
Koda is a full black German Shepherd with the sleek and glossy short, easy to manage coat.
In care at Willow Tree a locality near Tamworth, Koda needs an experienced large dog owner who understands the needs of this intelligent breed.
This sweet girl has had two previous owners in her short life but fortunately has no untrainable emotional issues. She is social with all dogs medium sized but not suited to a home with small dogs, rabbits or cats.
Koda will 'sit' 'wait' for a period then once given the command 'finish' her meal.
Koda will chase stock (sheep & horses) so therefore will need a secure fencing as a must or a home with no stock.
This sweet girl has not had any affection from humans and does not know how to play with toys etc which would all be due to the lack of human attention or interaction during her young impressionable age. We are working on this whilst she is in her foster home.
So we are looking for a home with room for Koda to burn up some of her energy with another dog of similar size and energy level and preferably a male.
Koda will need further training to reinforce her current level of training and to continue her on the path of a well trained dog. Strong to walk on lead so further lead training will also be required.
This girl has years of life to commit to her new family. Please click the link to "Enquire for Koda".
Medical notes
Koda is desexed, fully immunised, microchipped and is on flea treatment, all wormers and heart worm prevention.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
