About Dim Sum
Hi, my name is Dim Sum, but my foster mum calls me Dimmi.I am quite shy at first and may hide a lot but once I trust you, I will squeak at you for pats and food. I like to passionately rub against your legs when you enter the same room as me and will purr like a tractor. I am not a huge fan of soft food or treats but I absolutely love my biscuits.
My day mostly consists of scratching my scratching post, playing with my feather toy and playing tag with the resident cat. I get along quite well with the resident cat and he is slowly teaching me that the resident dog is not as scary as I originally thought, so with a slow introduction I should do fine with cats and dogs. Head scratches are my favourite, but I secretly love belly rubs too.
I was adopted as a kitten earlier this year and returned now that I'm an adult because they said I don't like people. In reality I am just a bit more independent than my previous owner was hoping for! It makes me sad, as I'm quite a happy lady and I like to play with my toys and bathe in the sun, but if you're wanting a lap cat I might not be the girl for you. I don't want my heart broken again. All I need is a home that will love me forever and understand that sometimes the human world is a little scary.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
