About Nora
Nora (aka Nibbles) was rescued over a year ago and has been in foster care. Nora was a street cat, born on the streets, was trapped when she was pregnant, and had her kittens in foster care. Nora's kittens have been adopted and Nora stayed longer in foster care as she needed more time to adjust to being a kept cat.
Nora is ready for her forever home!! It's finally her turn!
Nora is initially reserved as she is figuring you out. She will need your patience and kindness as she will be in a new place with a new human and this will mess with her mind for a little while. Nora will need a confident cat owner as you will need to get up in her space once she settles in, due to her initial shyness.
Nora is quirky, she will entertain herself and you with her antics and very expressive eyes. You will know exactly what Nora is thinking, with her big beautiful eyes, keeping an eye on what you are doing, when she gets to know you, she will come up to you for pats and attention once she is comfortable. When she gets more comfortable she will lay on the couch with you and if allowed your bed.
When Nora received pats she will show her appreciation by loud purrs and drooling, and even headbutts. Staying true to her cat nature, Nora loves to nap, she has many favorite sleep spots, in the sun, on the cardboard scratcher, on the chair and sofa, near or under your legs. As you will see in her pics, she has unusual sleeping positions and places, part of her quirky nature.
Nora will welcome you in the morning with sweet little chirps that she will also use when she's hungry. Nora has her playful side, does her daily zoomies, plays with her toys and scratcher before settling back down for another snooze.
What to expect from Nora if adopted, she will hide and hiss. She will need a few weeks to adjust, she would do better hiding in place up high, in reach so you can let her sniff you and pat her, so she gets to know her new person.
Nora would suit a quiet home where she is either the only cat or she lives with another cat-friendly cat that has a calm nature that can be her role model in adjusting to her new home. Nora will relax and she will become a valued friend. She will be that friend that doesn't warm to all your other human friends, but she will warm to you.
