About Millie
๐ธ๐ธ MILLIE ๐ธ๐ธ
Introducing the very sweet, scruffy and unique little Millie ๐ฅฐ Who is ready to find a special furever home ๐
Hi there ๐โโ๏ธ
I'm Millie, a small but mighty, scruffy but cute Maltese cross ๐ I'm four years old and ready to move in with a family who will provide me with all their love ๐ฅฐ
I can be a great new best friend for those in need of company because once I'm over my anxiety I'm quite cuddly ๐
I would do anything to have a treat or reward and tummy rubs, making me easy to train/win over ;) I would say Iโm a people-dog. I love to cuddle with my human foster sibling (age 17) who is also great company. And I really love having my own bed, just for me! A warm, comfy bed to wind down and have "me time" is so nice. I do like sleeping a lot so a relaxing lifestyle sounds great but a family that will play with me and go on small walks would be terrific too! โบ
Preferably, if you could be home more often than away, that would be much appreciated ๐
I currently live with 2 foster friends: A Greyhound who likes to sleep all day even though l want to play and a Tenterfield Terrier. They are amazing when it comes to learning new things and showing me that not everything is scary ๐ My Greyhound friend helps me calm down, whereas the Tenterfield Terrier is fun to play with and likes to show me around the garden, exploring and doing zoomies. Iโm not a super fan of toys and I donโt chew up your shoes, however, if you leave a sock or hair scrunchie lying around, it may move to a different location ;) I would love doggy friends in my new home, but they must be well adjusted, confident doggos. If they were nervous or had anxiety too, it would make mine worse :(
I'm quite intelligent and it really doesn't take me long to learn! I am a special girl with anxiety, when things are scary or my "safe space" on my bed is invaded I do retaliate with a warning growl or bite. Unfortunately I can't use words like humans, this is how I communicate ๐ I am so grateful my foster humans have worked out what works best for me, they no longer come to me for cuddles or pats, I get to go to them when I want them. I DO NOT like to be picked up, so please don't treat me like a teddy bear, im not one ๐
My furever family would need to be willing to set up my safe space, which is my bed, in the general living area for me to have access to 24/7 โบ This space helps me feel secure and relaxed. My humans are verrrry slowly introducing the crate to me, but it's a slow process as it scares me a little. I need a furever family who are willing to continue my training by setting clear boundaries for me so I don't feel like I have to protect things like the couch etc.. ๐ It will really help me stress a little less ๐
