About Georgie
My name is Georgie, and I'm a short-haired ginger tabby kitten born sometime in November 2020. My foster mum rescued my eight siblings and me from a construction site in Coburg in February 2021, and I've been living with her and two of my sisters from the same litter ever since.
It was a long, slow burn getting to the stage I'm at today, which is smoochy, cuddly, playful and a little bit clingy. I need a special home with a family who is patient and willing to persist with me being a bit shy and scared until I'm comfortable and come out of my shell.
I’m not too sold on being picked up, but I enjoy pats and scratches all over my body. I love to curl up next to my foster mum on the couch or bed for cuddles and pats.
My favourite part of the day is night-time, especially in the evening. I'm most active then, playing with toys and doing the occasional zoomie around the house. I love all my toys, and I like throwing them around. I need many stimulant-based toys or someone who will play with me now and then. I often sit outside the bedroom door and meow and push trying to get in, but I haven't quite grasped the concept of sleeping when the adults are sleeping.
During the day, you can find me curled up in my cat tree or on a pillow in the sun when I'm not cheeky and playful with my foster mum while she works from home. I was raised and domesticated during lockdown, so I'm used to having a human around often.
I'm not fussy and eat a kibble diet with wet food/cat mince twice a week. I love treats and come running at the shake of the bag. I only go to the bathroom in my litter tray.
My foster mum tried walking me on a harness, and I wasn't too fond of it. I'm okay with getting into a carrier, but I won't be mad at you if you must put me in with some loving force.
I am best suited to a home with adults, single or couple, or a home with children over 12.
Medical notes
Georgie is a healthy young lady. She has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
