About Penny Mae
Penny Mae came from a very large household. There were 11 other cats living with her, but unfortunately her hooman fell ill and was no longer able to care for them. Penny is in wonderful condition, her previous hooman looked after her wonderfully, but in a household of 12 cats, Penny did not get much one-on-one cuddle time.
Penny has been in care for about 4 weeks. When she first arrived at Forever Friends Animal Rescue, she would not allow anyone to touch her. She did not understand that pats felt good, so ran and hid from everyone. Thankfully there was another cat there that could teach her to be brave, and is rapidly coming out of her shell.
While she still likes to be safe in her tower watching out the window, when I pick her up to give her some cuddles, she quickly relaxes. She likes to be cuddled tight and will climb up you to head bob your face for cuddles and kisses. She is a purr machine, and has SO much love to give, and SO much to learn about how amazing hoomans can be.
She has told me that she isn't a fan of small kids and would prefer a quieter household with an experienced mummy or daddy that will be patient, but also someone that will help her step out of her comfort zone on a regular basis.
Penny Mae has SO much potential. She has such a sweet soul and needs to learn that the outside world (inside world - she needs to be indoor only) has so many wonderful opportunities.
I love her to bits, but she now needs to spread her wings and find a forever home that is all her own.
She is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped, as well as flea and worm treated :)
