About Luna
Hi! My name is Luna and I am a Staffy X.
I am living in an all female house. I have a foster sister who is older and a Staffy X Husky. She is so calm and had taught me as much as I needed to know regarding being a puppy. I am an indoor dog and you CANNOT LEAVE ME OUTDOOR AS I WILL YAP AND BARK TILL YOU BRING ME BACK IN!
I love food and I am currently being fed twice daily. I will sit for you to get treats. However, I am known to eat too fast. I need a SLOW FEEDER. . I am also allergic to certain food so you will need to ask my foster family what I am currently on and what are the best food for me. If not, nothing much will happen besides a runny poo and a deadly fart.
I am TOTALLY CRATE TRAINED and I am happy to sleep in my XL crate.
I can also sit, down, catch, spin and high five.
I am about 98% toilet trained and taught to use a bell to go out.
I love CHEWING on things too. I love frozen toys filled with food or treats. They are the best. The next best thing would be your nose or hands. Nipping your nose is just a
sign of affection.
I need a lot of work on leash training And would greatly benefit from obedience training.
My ideal family would be one with lots of patience and preferably experienced with my breed. I need to have an older, calm but energetic dog to keep up with my high energy. I would love to have an active family or at least someone who will take me for plays at the dog parks or doggy care. I think young kids or children might be scared of me as I do not know my strength and I might knock them over or be too much for them. I would love to be with teenagers above 12 years old as they will be able to keep up with my energy.
I also need lots of MENTAL STIMULATION. Walks alone will not be enough to tire me out. IQ puzzle games that dispenses treats will be great. I am also known to be really good at sniffing for food!
Plenty of socialization will be great for me too as I love meeting other people and dogs.
Medical notes
I was born with a condition in which my vagina was covered which might cause frequent UTI. The vet had checked me thoroughly and realized that my vagina is covered by an inverted skin flapwhich meant I will pee more often than other dogs and might be more prone to Urinary Tract Infections. This can be managed which a surgery in future if I do not grow out of it but the vet thinks that it is nothing to worry about too much at the moment as long as I am healthy
