About Finnegan
Finnegan is a bit of a spunk bubble (he is beginning to know it too!) and has all the ladies (especially the vet nurses at The Unusual Pet Vets) wrapped around his paw! Finnegan was found on the streets of Balga enjoying his freedom before he was found and handed into Balcatta Vet24. After an extensive search, his owners were never found! Finnegan came into our care - He was a little shy at the start but has really come out of his shell and shown us to be the ULTIMATE cuddle bug! He loves to be groomed, carried around, and endless long head pats on the couch. He will come up to you whenever you're around and at times can be really cheeky - He will nudge your hand if you stop patting :P ! He loves his tunnel run, his cardboard box mansion, and Ikea doll bed where he loves to loaf! You can hear him zooming around in the cat tunnels and knocking his treat toy wobbler over trying to get the pellets out :)
Finnegan is a very handsome big-boned chunky bun with a boofy head which adds to his quirky personality! He definitely is a gentle giant! He arrived weighing in at 4.09kg but over the past few months he has lost a lot of weight and is now at a more comfortable 2.89kg. He has been on a high-quality diet which has helped him shift the excess weight. He has a short white coat with brown ears and tail - He doesn't mind being held and LOVES to be brushed!
Unfortunately, it seems Finnegan has had a poor diet very rich in calcium including vegetables, low-quality pellets plus likely lucerne hay too. This means he has urinary calcium sludge and has a predisposition to developing calcium stones. This is a long-term condition with a strict diet (ongoing). He was until recently on regular daily medications but with his latest checkup, it was discussed removing him off the medications and monitoring him. We have our fingers crossed he can remain medication free!
We estimate Finnegan to be approx 2 years old. Yes, he has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets. The Unusual Pet Vets have been looking after Finnegan whilst he was unwell initially and have seen the progress we have made with Finnegan. He's like a completely different bunny!
We expect Finnegan has been a single bun his entire life, there might be potential for him to be bonded to a desexed female of similar size and age but we know he would also thrive being a single spoilt bunny with plenty of human love in his life. We are looking for a lovely forever home for Finnegan and know the right person or family is out there for him. Ideally, we would be looking for a person or family where Finnegan would be indoors (pen setup) with supervised outdoor time and be a part of everyday living and routine.
Finnegan's adoption fee is $185 which includes his desexing, vaccination, microchip, and thorough health check at The Unusual Pet Vets.

Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more about our rescue, the rabbits we have in care or if you are considering adopting one of our precious bunnies - Please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you might have a suitable home we will email you through a application form to fill in (step 1).
Once we have received your forms, we will then arrange a time for you to meet our rescue rabbit/rabbits (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your indoor rabbit setup is safe, secure and in the long term the rabbit will be happy! An adoption fee is paid if you decide you would like to take the rabbit on trial, this is held with us whilst the rabbit is on trial in your home. The trial period is for 2 weeks but this is flexible (step 3). If anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going to stay, the decision is made final and we process the adoption and change the microchip details - This makes the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue, the adoption fee is refundable within the trial period.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
