About 4487 - Dennis
🐱🎩 INTRODUCING DENNIS 🎩🐱
May I introduce myself? My name is Dennis and I’m a quiet gentleman. I came into the Angels care after only ever living outside in a colony with other kitties. I was a bit nervous being around humans and being inside a home, but I must say I do now very much like living inside! My Foster Mummy says I have learnt to house-cat very well and I’m her little star, so now I’m ready for my forever home.
Nature
I am starting to realise I don’t need to be scared anymore and can be quite brave at times by occasionally coming out when there are visitors. I enjoy the regular meals, the warm comfy spots I find to sleep, did I mention I love food? And oh my my my, pats are the best and I shamelessly admit I seek pats out now!
I am still a little timid but my confidence and curiosity is growing. I love to be patted and will meow and seek you out to gets pats and scritches. Loud noises may cause me to disappear but I reappear fairly quickly afterwards. I am interested in what the other kitties are doing and being near my foster hoomum. I’m not very playful at the moment and my Foster Mum says I seem to be quite confused by toys. I am food motivated and may be open to some training (good for mental stimulation) with patience and without distraction from other cats.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I live in a home with other kitties, and I am happy in their company but can be a bit swipey with them if dinner is late or I want attention. Because I haven’t met any children or dogs, a child and dog free home would be the best option for me. I would be OK with a feline friend as I tend to follow their lead and I’ve started taking over the dinner time reminders! An older child might work if they were interested in spending time with me, and have the patience and understanding to help me trust - maybe they could teach me some tricks? My Foster Mum said to note that I may swipe or soft bite if my kitty body language is ignored, however I am very gentle with my Foster Mum.
Likes / Dislikes
Food is good, more food is better. I enjoy wet food morning and night and join in the morning meow wake up and feed us chorus. I have dry food to nibble through the day. I have come so far and would really do well having a home with some one-on-one time to help me be the happy house cat I so deserve, and I promise I will reward you by being a loving loyal companion.
My PURR-fect home would be with an older, mature person or family who can give me lots of one on one time so I can continue my transformation into a proper house-cat.

Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair

DOB: 07/12/2016
Adoption Fee: $100

Medical notes: Dennis has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a virus that can affect his immune system, however, he can still potentially live a long healthy life. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Due to his FIV, Dennis will need to be an indoor only cat. FIV cats can live harmoniously with other cats however slow introductions are required to ensure they do not fight.
Dennis was also exposed to Ringworm, a common fungal infection, and cat flu, a respiratory infection. He did not show symptoms and was given the all clear by the vet.
