About Tessa
Tessa is ready to find her very special family.
A forever or caring foster 🥰
What a journey we have all been on with this beautiful girl.
When Tessa first came into care, she quickly won everyone’s hearts.
Every carer just loves Tessa.
Not only is she just stunning, but she is also a sweet, gentle and loving soul.
She adores people big and small and instantly became the biggest cuddler on record.
It was clear she had the makings of being the best family dog.
BUT
Tessa had never known life off a chain.
The only dogs she had had interaction with were her sister (who was also chained and who competed for limited food with her } and an seriously aggressive male dog.
Tessa had a crippling fear of other dogs resulting in dog reactivity.
We knew that whilst she was just wonderful in the safety of her space, she could not handle interactions with other dogs and that presented a huge problem.
Sometimes dogs come in so damaged by their past we need specialist help to move them forward.
So we made the decision to put Tessa in a wonderful residential rehab facility.
Over the last two months an amazing team has worked on her demons, unlearning the negative behaviour and learning positive instead.
Love, time, patience, consistency and knowledge along with a beautiful dog that just wanted to please … we are delighted to introduce the new Tessa to the world.
The new Tessa still loves people.
She loves zoomies.
She loves sleeping.
She loves walkies.
She loves long stroking pats with kisses,
She loves her food – a lot.
She is also pretty smart.
The new Tessa l can Sit, Drop, Lie down, Stay, Recall, walk on lead and go to and stay on her mat on command too.
Due to her past, she is a little unsure about other dogs so we would prefer her to be an only fur baby.
She is no longer fear reactive but will need an experienced and confident owner.
Tessa is being adopted straight from the Rehab Facility and her new family will meet the trainers and get a full handover on skills and techniques used to make Tessa the amazing pup she now is.
Tessa is located in Tarmapa and her adoption fee is $450.
She is 18 months old Staghound x and is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with her flea and worm treatments.
If you think you could be Tessa’s happy ending, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the life you could offer Tessa.
Please give as much detail as you can as the facility are only able to accommodate limited meets, so we need to be sure it’s a good match before arranging.
Thank you so much
