About Buadh
As soon as you meet Buadh (boo-ah; Irish for victory), you will fall in love with her. Her needs are very simple - belly rubs and love. Buadh is a fast learner. She now knows ‘down’, ‘sit’, ‘bed’ and ‘wait’, but is learning that other dogs are not scary. She loves humans of all genders, ages, and races.
Buadh would prefer to play in a pet-free garden with you instead of having to go on multiple walks during the day, as she is having to do now at her foster home. Indoors, she likes to be close to humans or play with different food dispensing toys.
Buadh has the best of staffy and lab personalities and is fine to be alone for a few hours to snooze, but would rather live with people who are home a lot. She walks well and briskly on the lead. Since she is close to 30kg, you will need to be strong and fit as she does pull and tremble when she sees other dogs. Buadh has come a long way in overcoming her fear of dogs and is responding really well to training. It is essential that you are either experienced in socialisation training, or willing to learn, and are able to provide the sense of security and love she needs.
If you want to hang out at the dog park, Buadh is not the dog for you. But all you will want to do is snuggle on the couch with this beautiful, pig-grunting, musical-snoring, cherry tomato-loving girl anyway.
Medical notes
Buadh is dog reactive.
