On Hold
About Phantom ~ 8 week old (on trial 06/05/2021)
Say hello to the adventurous little Phantom, named for his unique facial markings.
Phantom is very confident and loves to explore and play with his siblings. He is also happy to snuggle up for cuddles and pats. He’s not shy and will introduce himself to people and other animals.
He loves his food and isn’t fussy with what he’s given and is often found stealing the older cats food. He uses the litter tray well.
We think Phantom would suit a home with a friend to play with (he loves to wrestle with his brother Loki!), but would also do ok as an only cat if his humans are home a lot as he often finds his own fun. If you are interested in adopting a pair, Loki and Phantom would love to go to their forever home together. See Loki’s profile here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/848576
He is currently in foster care with his two brothers in a house with a lorikeet, two older cats and a child but has not had any exposure to dogs. With a slow introduction, we think he has the confidence to live with a dog.
Cats and kittens adopted from Dog Rescue Newcastle must be inside only unless you have a cat enclosure that they can have some outside time in.
Since Phantom is too young to be desexed he will need to be adopted locally in the Newcastle, Central Coast or Hunter area so he can be returned to one of our affiliate vets before he is 4 months old for desexing. This is included in his adoption fee as well as microchipping and first kitten vaccination. His adoption fee is $250 or $450 with his brother.
Phantom is located in Birmingham Gardens. If you are interested in adopted Phantom, please complete the below questionnaire.
