About Ace
Our handsome little man Ace is finally up for adoption and has been very patiently waiting for his forever home.
Ace is a 9 month old American Staffordshire Terrior, with a heart filled with love. Ace has been incredibly spoilt by his foster carers and has been the goodest boy. He absolutely adores people, and loves to kiss, cuddle and snuggle up for a nap on the lounge.
Our little boy Ace came all the way from Tweed Heads, NSW and was our first transported animal - milestones lol! He had a rough start to life and had never been in a stable home since being 8 weeks old. We are determined to find him the perfect family with the perfect space for him ♥️.
Ace is an inside dog, who loves to jump into your bed and snooze on the couch. He’s also still a puppy and still has some very cheeky tendencies, so should be considered before adopting. He’s still learning to walk on a leash, but has been doing so well with the guidance of his carers 👏🏽. He’s toilet trained and once adapted to his new home, he will be there too. Ace loves to chew, however his foster carers have been working on this and he’s definitely learning. Ace is great with understanding commands and when to stop being a cheeky boy.
Ace is having a hard time understanding other doggies, and himself quite frankly. We believe he has needed to protect himself in the past and if he sees any sort of threat, he becomes quite unsure and doesn’t like it. We’ve introduced him to another Staffy female, and they LOVE eachother. He’s a typical Staffy when playing, but is quite rough also. He definitely needs to be taught to be around smaller dogs and how to properly play with all breeds. He got along incredibly well with the female Staffy and didn’t have any issues whatsoever. He’s not quite ready for an off leash dog park, but definitely will be in the future! We will attach some videos in the comments of Ace and Kyah having a play 🐶
Ace is looking for a family who can ease him into staying home alone, has no other doggies or is willing to do a few meet and greets to make sure their personalities coincide, he has previously lived with cats but, again, a meet and greet should be conducted before adoption, and has a big backyard for him to run a muck in.
Ace is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and wormed.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals please send through an email to info@acauseforpaws.com.au and request to complete an Adoption Interest Form.
Once the form has been completed, our staff will check over all the information provided to ensure your family is a suitable fit for the animal enquired about. If suitable, we will reach out to organise a date to set up a meet and greet between your family and the animal you are interested in.
We give your family, and our team, as much time as needed to discuss your experience at the meet and greet and decide on whether the animal is going to be the new addition to your family.
A house and yard check is then completed to ensure the space is well suited to the animal.
Adoption fees and all paperwork is then completed and a two week trial will begin. The two week trial is a period of time in which the family and the animal have time to settle in together, and ensure that everything is working out okay. Once the two week trial has come to an end, our team will check in. If everything went okay, then the adoption process is completed!
