About Gretel
*In foster care in Pyrmont, Sydney*
Gretel is a cuddly and curious one-year-old calico girl with energy to burn! She adores the company of her favourite humans and loves to get involved as you go about your daily tasks :)
This sweet little cat isn't a fan of the vacuum cleaner (but who is?), and may take some time to adjust to the new noises, smells and routines of her new home - but once she's settled in you'll have a loyal buddy for life!
Like all Maggie's pets, Gretel is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: Will have another friendly cat! I am currently in foster care with another cat Beans and we make the purrfect pair! (who is also up for adoption - https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/840209) and we love to play, chat in cute chirpy noises and greet eachother with nose kisses. I enjoy being close to my people and spending lots of time with you - whether it's napping while you work, or playing chasey around the house. I'd really like an active family who have the time to give me all the attention I crave - or if you have to go out to work, I will have my cat sibling to keep me entertained!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: High! Playing is my number-one thing to do. I love interactive toys the most, but cardboard boxes and toilet rolls are great too. Chewing on cables is HEAPS of fun (so you'll have to hide those!). And playing chase with Beans is one of the highlights of my day!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm very gentle and I don't bite or scratch, so I should be fine with kids, although I haven't met any yet.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I am currently in foster care with Beans and would be happiest in a home with another cat to keep me occupied - otherwise I might wake you during the night to play with me! I haven't had the chance to meet any dogs at this stage.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
