About Dexter
Adoption Fee: $120
This middle aged gentleman is Dexter. Dex was unclaimed from the pound. Dex has been moved around quite a bit lately so he will take a little time to adjust to more new faces and a new home, but in his foster home he has pretty quickly made himself at home, and is enjoying being part of the household. If his new owners can allow him a few days of settling in to his new home, he will be fine.
Dexter has a few quirks such as his short tail, and one blue eye and one yellow. He is generally happy to chill in a quiet spot, and at bedtime (if he's allowed into your room) he likes to say goodnight to you and get a last stroke and head scratch before settling down for the night on a comfy chair.
Dexter is fine with his carer's 2 small dogs - he pretty much ignores them. He is also in care with other cats but does tend to be quite bossy with them and wants to be Top Cat, so he would be best as the only cat in your home. He is probably best suited to a home with adults only or with older kids as he may find young ones a bit overwhelming. Whilst Dexter enjoys human company he also loves spending time outdoors so he would be ideal as a stable/barn cat whilst also enjoying coming inside for some human company especially in the evening. He would probably equally enjoy a spacious cat enclosure with access indoors. Dexter is not a huge eater for his size and is fully litter trained and tidy.
Poor Dex has had a bit of a rough run lately and we are hoping to find him a kind and loving home where he won't be moved on again. If you think he may suit your household, please drop us a line for more info or to apply to adopt.

MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, F3 vaccination, flea and worm treatment and microchip (including transfer of ownership). Dexter is sterilised. Dexter had weepy eyes when he arrived into care: our vet advised they didn't need medication as they were clear, and it was potentially stress-related due to moving. His eyes are now recovered; vet suggested probiotics in Dex's food would assist in boosting his immunity level.
