Hi there, my name is Ava, and I am searching for my forever family.

Nature
I am quite a shy girl and I’m still learning that humans are friendly. My foster mum has been super patient with me, and I have made progress... I let her pat and stroke me now. I wouldn’t say I enjoy it yet as I can’t help but back away, flash my teeth and let out a hiss while she’s doing so, but it’s not because I’m being mean - this is all just so new to me and I’m still really scared.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I haven’t been exposed to children as I am a timid girl and I don’t handle loud noises and sudden movements very well. I would be best suited to a nice, quiet, mature household where I can continue to learn to trust people, all at my own pace in a safe space.

I think I would be ok in a home with a confident and friendly cat or dog - they may even help show me that people aren’t scary at all, and show me the ropes on this thing they call a “domestic life.” As always, slow introductions are an absolute necessity when introducing new family members, to ensure it goes off without a hitch.

Likes / Dislikes
I LOVE my food! That is definitely the way to my heart, just keep feeding me! I dislike loud noises, sudden movements and for the moment - being patted. I’m sure with persistence and patience I will turn my attitude towards human affection right around!

My PURR-fect home would be a nice, quiet one with a mature couple only or a family with older children/teenagers who will respect my boundaries and allow me to take my time in learning to trust them.
