About Tiger / Clover
PURSONALITY TRAITS
Hi Everyone! I'm Tiger - I'm only about 18 months old but have had a pretty rough start to life. I came to Cat Haven last August after being found as a stray. When I was at the shelter the vets discovered that I had a problem with my hip so after my operation I went to Fostercare to recuperate. The vets did a great job at fixing my hip and now I'm raring to find my forever home.
I'm super confident, curious and won't take long settling into my new home. I hope your couch has a spot for me because I'd love to sit beside you, but please don't pick me up. I love snuggles and scratches under the chin.
I spend most of the day indoors laying in the sun and playing with my foster family's bunny! We're great friends, even if he tries to photobomb me!
Loud noises and little ones spook me, so I would prefer a home with adults that are often home as I cry when I get lonely and I have a very loud voice. I will benefit from having someone willing to spend time with me and playing enrichment games to keep me entertained.
The lovely person who found me did mention that I get a little worried when there are other cats around. As I need to limit my exposure to stressful situations maybe being your only feline would suit me best.
I look forward to meeting you at my foster home in Spearwood!
Health Issues
Tiger has had a surgery called a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO), which is a surgical procedure that aims to restore pain-free mobility to a diseased or damaged hip, by removing the head and neck of the femur. Most cats recover fully after FHO surgery and regain essentially-normal function of the affected leg. Although the leg may have a slightly decreased range of motion or decreased limb length after surgery, these impacts are typically minimal and do not impact the cat's quality of life. To aid the continued good response to surgery it is important that he be fed a good quality diet and is not allowed to become overweight.
Tiger also has previously had an episode of lower urinary tract disease, a condition which may result in urinary obstruction. Limiting stress is essential for these cats so stress management will be important after adoption - consider feliway, etc to prevent urinary issues flaring. Tiger has had good results while on the Royal Canin diet.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
