About Minty
๐ฌ๐ MINTY ๐๐ฌ
We are so excited! Our beautiful Minty is ready to start looking for her furever home ๐
Minty came to us from a Rural pound off deathrow, she would have been as young as 5 weeks old when she arrived to us. She clearly hadn't long been weaned from mum, as she didn't know how to chew properly, she had the most severe case of seperation anxiety we had ever seen in a puppy! And she would barely sleep! She would work herself into such a stressed state she would become overstimulated and over aroused super easy! She had no clue how to be a normal puppy ๐๐ญ
BUT that's ok, she is in great hands and scored herself a spot in foster care with our President who worked her magic and now meeting Minty you could not imagine that she was ever that stressed and anxious tiny puppy ๐
Minty is super confident now! ๐ She is a well adjusted, well mannered, well trained, playful and beautiful puppy ๐ฅฐ she loooves to play, fetch is a great game! She will play it with anything she can find... soccer balls, tennis balls, sticks, squeaky toys.. its all fair game ๐คฃ
Minty is absolutely adorable, she wants nothing more then to please her humans ๐ She is the perfect best friend ๐ She is loyal, loving and oh so cheeky! Minty is now fantastic with all dogs big and small, she has learnt to adjust her play style to suit the different dogs however she has very strong herding instincts and so sometimes get a little too involved in a game of chasey ๐คฃ
This girl would LOVE a farm to work on, or property to run around on all day long! Minty will definitely need a job or sport to do, unfortunately she would not suit just being a family pet in a yard. She will need to be given something to do, otherwise you will definitely see undesirable behaviours arise as she gets older and bored with basic obedience ๐ She is a VERY intelligent girl ๐ฅฐ She loves to work her brain and figure things out ๐ Minty is also VERY active, although she has been taught an off switch (something that will need to be continued into her teenage years), she is still a very active girl ๐๐
Minty adores kids! She will get involved with their play constantly, she is usually very good at not jumping up however sometimes needs reminding when she is a bit excited ๐ Minty has developed a respect for cats, she is very cautious with them. Initiates play if they do, but is now respectful of their boundaries and will walk around them and will not chase them.
So this clever girl knows all of her basic training, she knows sit, down, shake, bed, she is crated trained and walks nearly perfectly on lead ๐ She has great recall (unless it's bedtime ๐คฃ then apparently her ears don't work ๐คฃ). Minty thrives on structure, so would benefit from a family willing to provide that.
Minty is currently fed a balanced raw diet and is not fussy with food at all, she is very food motivated making her excellent to train! ๐
Minty will make a fantastic companion to any family willing to give her something to do ๐ She would do better with another dog for a companion as she will sulk when seperate from others, however if she had a human to work with during the day she wouldn't mind being on her own ๐
If you would like to meet Minty, please message for an application ๐

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST NOT be taken on the day unless PRIOR APPROVAL seeked, we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 14 day settling in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
6. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until date of adoption. Inclusive of vaccinations, monthly worming and flea treatment. New owners are responsible for keeping preventatives current.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your email within 72 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
