About Thatcher
❤🧡 THATCHER 🧡❤
Our sweet Thatcher is ready to find his furever home 😍
Thatcher can be described as a darling 💕 He loves to plonk his big head on your lap where he can appreciate lots of pats and cuddles 🥰
He is very well behaved and tries so hard to please 💖 Thatcher came to us just over a month ago in a very malnourished, beaten and abused state :( He was covered in cuts and scars, he had muscle wastage in his hip due to suffering for what we can assume a very long time to a dislocated hip 💔 Thatcher couldn't use his back leg at all, he had the saddest eyes that would break your heart. This poor boy was extremely broken but he still only wanted to please and love everyone he met 💕
The day after he arrived he went straight to the Vet for a full health check and to assess his hip that was the most concerning issue. The Vet was concerned and didn't want to delay. Thatcher was taken in that day to have hip surgery done to try save his leg ❤ After a bit of recovery, he was a new dog! He was so full of life, his eyes brightening and his happiness started shining through 😍 Now he is starting to figure out that he can use that leg, which is great! He has put on good weight, his cuts and deep wounds have healed and his scars not as noticeable 😍😍 And that is just in 6 weeks, imagine him in a few more months time 🥰
Thatcher looooves to play with doggie friends 💕 and is great with the cats (he thinks they're his personal hot water bottles) and he is even good with horses 💖 He can be outdoors, but definitely prefers to be inside with his family 😊
Everyone who meets him just has to love this oh so trusting face who had already experienced so many hardships 🌼
Thatcher is so sweet with kids, he is just so lovable 😍 You cannot ask for a better companion 🥰 Thatcher's ideal home will have another dog for a play mate, and a semi active home with a large space for him to spread his legs 💕 Although he is a couch potato and has got his leg slowing him down, he still enjoys a play and run around 😍
If you would like to meet Thatcher, please message for an application 💝
Medical notes
Had hip surgery, muscle wastage in back leg.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST NOT be taken on the day unless PRIOR APPROVAL seeked, we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 14 day settling in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
6. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until date of adoption. Inclusive of vaccinations, monthly worming and flea treatment. New owners are responsible for keeping preventatives current.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your email within 72 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
