About Ruby
Ruby is an active girl who loves to play and run around. She would be the perfect companion for a runner or jogger who is looking for a four-legged friend to join them on their outdoor adventures.
Despite being very friendly and full of personality, Ruby needs some training as she has a tendency to jump up and bounce when excited. She loves toys!!
Ruby needs plenty of space to exercise, so she would do best in a home with both an outdoor garden area as well as regular walks outside. She has been observed to be good with kids over 12 years old but may be too strong and bouncy for smaller children.
She can be reactive around other dogs and best suited to a family who exercise her in quiet areas away away from other dogs.
While Ruby can cope alone for short periods, she will need someone home part of the time.
Ruby will need an experienced rescue owner who not only understands her background but also knows how to build relationships with rescue dogs who have had less fortunate life experiences than others. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Ruby is ready to blossom into the pup she was always meant to be!
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
Suit Part Time Worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience and an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
She comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
