About Piper
Piper is a 5-year-old Labrador Bull Mastiff mix. She has had a tough run in life so far but she is excited to have a fresh start with her new forever family.
Piper is very affectionate and loving once she warms up to people. She will make a very loyal and devoted companion to whoever adopts her. She gives beautiful cuddles!
Piper has perfect house manners and is content to just relax around the house with you. She enjoys walks and is good on the lead. Her foster family have been working hard on building her confidence and getting her comfortable with the world – she can get a bit overwhelmed at times but she tries her very hardest!
Piper is currently in foster care with two other female dogs and a cat. She enjoys playing with other dogs once she gets familiar with them – she can be a bit timid and shy to start with. She is OK with the cat – if she were to be rehomed to a family with a cat, that cat would have to be very familiar and comfortable with dogs.
Piper is very clever and enjoys training and learning new things (especially if treats are involved)! She already has a few tricks up her sleeve that she can show you including shaking hands!
Piper will need a family who are compassionate, kind and patient with her. Some of her life experiences have made her nervous of certain situations but she has already made so much progress with this in foster care. Her new family will need to take time to understand her and work with her to continue building her confidence. A family that has experience with reactive dogs would be preferred. Her new family will be rewarded with her unconditional love and affection – they will gain a lifelong best friend!
